Louis Sidoli - Reggie Kray
These 2 mug-shots were the first ever taken of Ronnie and Reggie, ‘The Krays’, at an early age, long before their
celebrity status in the Swinging 60’s. They were taken after they were arrested for desertion from National Service in
1952, which shows how they did everything together. Here they are aged about 19 years old, with big 50’s style quiffs and
‘cauliflower ears’ (a result of their boxing careers) as they stare at the camera with a kind of menacing arrogance! They
were initially held at The Tower Of London and were among the last prisoners to be held there. Their dishonourable
discharge from the army and criminal record ended their boxing careers and as a result they then turned to crime.
